Our story began a few years ago when our owner, a self-tagged foodie, had a sudden craving for the all-delectable roast Pekin. Unlike today when this treat can be readily found in Nairobi's eateries, the challenge of sinking into succulent healthy duck proved daunting. And so, after canvassing several locations with limited success, they decided to breed a few birds to enjoy with family and friends. The rest is history.
Today, as our flock has grown so has the circle of duck lovers that we call friends. While we remain a farm that is small in size, we have allowed our numbers to grow in line with the yearning for duck. Our ducks are raised on rural land where they are free to roam, bask and enjoy a fun forage that supplements their diet of healthy, clean vegetables and grains. In keeping with our family's commitment to living sustainably, we have chosen to raise ducks because duck meat is one of the most environment friendly meats. That's right! Following closely behind snails, the meat from duck with bone has a carbon footprint of only 2.07 kg CO2eq/kg.
Our ducks are fed a diet that is free of antibiotics and growth hormones and for supplemental feed, they are nourished with Black Soldier Fly larvae that is produced from upcyled restaurant waste. Isn't this what the full circle of life is meant to be?
Welcome to our Quack-tastic world. Our ducks are happy. Sun-kissed. Healthy. Sustainably Raised.
